Many historic homes have small side porches that are wonderful opportunities for intimate spaces. A fun fabric on the dining chairs sets the tone of the room. The table was chosen to visually take up less space due to the glass top. Draperies to the ceiling soften corners and add pattern to this long narrow sunroom. Contemporary chairs with custom fabric and details are centered on a wall of plants. The perfectly sized ottoman serves as a footstool or table. A carpet warms the tile floor and is a contrast in texture. Even the dog bed is coordinated!
This bright kitchen came out of a total renovation that entailed ripping the walls out, down to the studs. A new hardwood floor was installed along with a new ceiling, which allowed for speakers and recessed lighting. Custom cabinets give maximum storage in the space, and create a traditional feel in this almost 100 year old home. The small radiator was incorporated into the existing heating system and new appliances make this a real cook's kitchen. Small details like the hand blown glass light fixture above the sink, and cabinet hardware finish the room.
